FRUSTRATED? THE JOURNEY IS STILL FAR

I know quite alright that at a junction in your life, you were frustrated, or as you are reading this, you are in your season of great depression, never you worry, and that’s why I’m prompted by the Holy Spirit to get this writings across to you.
Being frustrated has nothing to do with the amount of money you have in your bank account, for even the rich also cry. But it’s one of the stages we must pass through in life if we are truly aiming for the top.
Even the powerful, influential figures we look up to in our societies are at one point in their life frustrated, some might have even contemplated suicide before, but now you see them as an achiever.
Those moments of depression and frustration are the dark moments of your life. Every successful individual have passed through it and these ugly moments can repeat itself as many times as possible as far as you are trying something new. As far as you are on an adventure, there will always be a time of frustration which you might even contemplate suicide.
In the scripture below, we can see how Elijah, a mighty Prophet who just destroy one hundred and fifty (153) Soldiers by fire descending on them above was afraid of a woman. He prayed to God to take his life at that horrible junction for all he could see with Jezebel in the scene is death and nothing more. At this juncture, he has forgotten the power of the most high in his life, he forgot those testimonies he had, and he was jolted. He took to his heels.
Look at this bible verse.
But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree:  and he requested for himself that he might die;  and said, It is enough;  now, O LORD, take away my life;  for I am not better than my fathers. (1 Kings 19:4 KJV)
It is amazing how Elijah could forget the mighty works of God through him in the previous chapter, he called down fire on the Altar which the prophets of Baal can’t do, he even destroy the prophets of Baal according 1 kings 18:40
And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape.   And they took them:  and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.
 (1 kings 18:40 KJV)
In the same way, we normally forgets the wonderful works of God in our life, we forgot His testimonies when the bible says
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;  and they loved not their lives unto the death (Rev. 12:11 KJV)
One of the important tools to employ during our time of great depression is rehearsing the testimony we’ve got in the past. There is always something to remember God for, remember the time you needed to pay house rent and God came through, remember the time you needed to pay your school fees and God came just in time, remember when you needed a job badly and God came just in time. There is always something to thank God for in your life. Job words of testimony and affirmation to the love of God even when his wife suggested he curse God help him recover all. Your case is not up to that of Job. Be of good cheer.
In 1 king 19 verses 5-7, God strengthen Elijah. He gave him a divine meal like this you are eating presently, he was encouraged by the lord for the journey is still far.
5 And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.   6 And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head.   And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.   7 And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.
Because the journey is too great for thee: The journey is still far my brother, the journey is still far my sister, the journey is still far mummy, the journey is still far daddy. The journey is too great for thee for you to be frustrated. Cheer up!

From your brother,
ORIDO, Joel .O.
