THOUGH IT TARRY, WAIT FOR IT

Prophecies aside, has the Lord shown you a mighty vision of where He has prepared for you before? You might have even write it in a corner of your room, put it down in your diary and as time goes on, it seems the vision has fade away or perhaps God has change plan.

Never you worry, the Lord knows what you are passing through and that’s why He is peaking to you right now from the book of Habakkuk chapter 2 verses 3

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie:  though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:3 KJV)

I think I fell in love with the good news version of this scripture, the Good news translation have it this way:

Put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed. (Habakkuk 2:3 GNT)

We are naturally wired to be anxious, impatient especially when it comes to what God tells you himself. We always want it to come to pass immediately. But our God want us to enjoy any blessing He is sending to us and that’s why it won’t come without Him preparing us for it.

Joseph has seen the vision of where he will be from the age of seventeen, as naïve as he is, shared it with his brother who thought he will be crown king in their land.
The more Joseph had dreams, the more the directly opposite is happening in real life. Or is there any correlation between stars paying homage to him and he been thrown into a dry well?
God must have shown Mordechai that he will be in the palace someday, I’m very sure he can’t have a thought of being a gateman in the palace when he saw that vision. Instead for him to reign in the palace, they were captured as salve to a foreign land. How will you place that? On getting to the foreign land as slave he was set as a gateman in the palace…… if you were in his shoe, won’t you be quick to say God is not faithful? You might even say oh! God, so you actually mean I will be a gateman in a palace when you were showing me the vision? May be you don’t get it, perhaps you receive a revelation of promotion at work, and the following morning, you were sacked. How will you place that? But in God’s agenda, that’s the only way He can promote you. God ways is never our own way.

The virtue we lack is patience. Or how will you place that of Abraham. God promise him a child at the age of seventy-five, when it’s already getting late as humans. But God kept promising him every time. There was a time he doubted God and said, I your friend, you don’t give me a child, God had to take him out and show him the stars and the sands on the beach to reaffirm His commitment to his child bearing. I need tell you that God has just begun
To you reading this, I tell you that God has just begun….

This is just the beginning. It’s never the end but a means to an end.
It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it, it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed.

To your faith add patience, endurance and longsuffering.
Don’t give up on God. The miracle is just by the door.
