On my way to the higher ground, I slide off the mountain, fell, seriously injured, yet I keep on climbing with my limp. Difficult as it is, I kept on moving, forward ever, backward never was my anthem. I did not waiver. In my journey of life, I was attacked, shot at, I became unconscious for some moment, till the great physician found me, took me to his inn, treated me with all his expertise.    I WILL MAKE YOU! From the word above, “I will make you” we can see the pronoun I which was used in place of GOD. That means the Lord is saying I will make you…. And when God utters a word, He makes sure that His word comes to pass and HE never says anything He cannot do. So when He says HE WILL MAKE YOU! HE WILL MAKE ME! Something strange happens on Mount Horeb as Moses was looking after his father-in-law's flock. He saw a bush burning without being consumed! What a mystery as it contradict every law of nature or science as the case may be.  It can sounds so unbelievable or just as a myth to an average human being without Christ as His spirit helps our understanding of the scripture. Moses seeing this couldn't help his curiosity but to move closer to the burning bush to ascertain if he has seen well or his eyes were merely decieving him, alas it was true! For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:20 KJV) The Hebrew word for Righteous is tsadaq which means to be in the right, be justified, be just which can be used to describe someone who has received deliverance from condemnation. In this sense, Righteousness is a pronouncement from God to man that is, an unmerited favour we received when we move to Him. The Greek word for righteousness is Dikaisune which means the character of trait or quality of being just or right. In this sense, righteousness means fulfilling the requirement of the law especially in religious duties, almsgiving, prayer and fasting.
